IRC接口型继电器在PLC和DCS控制系统中的应用

　　IRC接口型继电器主要应用在PLC和DCS控制系统中，作用为输入输出点的保护（IO保护）。所以，IRC接口型继电器已经广泛应用在电力、冶金、化工、纺织等大量使用PLC或DCS控制的行业。

　　众所周之，PLC本身是自带继电器输出的，但是其容量很小，一般为0.5A左右，这种等级的容量很难直接驱动负载，这就需要IRC接口型继电器作为PLC的继电器输出与负载之间的接口--让PLC自带继电器来驱动IRC接口型继电器的线圈，后者的触点来驱动负载，这样便实现了PLC自带继电器与负载的有效隔离。
　　PLC的控制点数一般都很多，用普通中间继电器的话，虽然可以满足负载容量方面的要求，但是较宽的产品会使控制柜方面的成本处于一个很高的水平；而IRC接口型继电器连底座宽度仅为15.6mm。而且由于继电器的使用数量很多，相应的接线工作也显得比较繁复，稍有不慎便会误接线--只要使用IRC接口型继电器配套的桥接片，便可使接线工作减至一半左右。
