主动式的以太网I/O模块提供全新的可视路边控制箱监控系统

路边的控制箱在一定范围内服务于附近的家庭，以及不同的设备。比如交通、电信等设备，都安装在这种箱子里边。传统上，路边的控制箱习惯的被使用在乡村或是远程区域，但是他们现在被更多的使用于城市。不论行驶在高速公路或步行在人行道上，都可以找到路边控制箱。

传统的做法中，远程I/O或PLC被安装到监控这些设备的路边控制箱中。无论怎样，基于以太网的PLC监控技术，都需要再行购买昂贵的以太网模块用于扩展PLC的网络功能。另外重大的挑战是在开发软件上，就是需要轮讯所有的I/O通道。
