The AT84AS001 is the first in a series of a family of 12-bit Analog Digital Converters from Atmel. It is a high performance 12-bit, 500 Msps Analog Digital Converter featuring low power consumption and true 12-bit linearity for IF sampling applications. By using its on-chip S/H circuity and advanced high speed process technology, it allows for sampling rates up to 500 Msps at a center frequency of 150 MHz and IF band of ?00 MHz. Its electrical performance is coupled with ease of integration into new or existing designs by such features as AC or DC coupled analog input, differential LVDS compatible output, 3-wire serial programming interface (gain control, offset control, standby mode and Built-In-Test), Double Data Rate clock output and synchronous reset input.

    The AT84AS003 is the first Analog Digital Converter on the market breaking the 8.0 ENOB barrier at sampling rates over 1Gsps. At Nyquist conditions, performance such as 8.0 ENOB and 58 dB SFDR at 1.5 Gsps has been demonstrated. Furthermore, the 3 GHz analog input bandwidth allows operation in second Nyquist zone with remarkable performance at up to 1.5 GHz input frequency, making it a fully functional broadband analog data converter. The embedded selectable 1:2 or 1:4 demultiplexer allows direct interfacing with standard LVDS compatible FPGAs, without any timing or voltage tuning necessary, even when sweeping the sampling frequency from 100 Msps to 1.5 Gsps. It is the best option to upgrade existing systems or to design new state-of-the-art digitizers in applications such as digital receivers, test instrumentation or radar equipments.

    The AT84AS004 10-bit 2 Gsps Analog Digital Converter with 1:2/4 DMUX is an upgrade of the AT84AS003 10-bit 1.5 Gsps Analog Digital Converter with 1:2/4 DMUX to allow users to work at 2 Gsps sampling frequency. AT84AS004 is the first Analog Digital Converter on the market breaking the 8.0 ENOB barrier at sampling rates over 1 Gsps. At Nyquist conditions, performance such as 7.8 ENOB and 55 dB SFDR at 2 Gsps has been demonstrated. Furthermore, the 3 GHz analog input bandwidth allows operation in second Nyquist zone with remarkable performance at up to 1.5 GHz input frequency, making it a fully functional broadband analog data converter. The embedded selectable 1:2 or 1:4 demultiplexer allows direct interfacing with standard LVDS compatible FPGAs, without any timing or voltage tuning necessary, even when sweeping the sampling frequency from 100 Msps to 2 Gsps.     The AT84AS008GL Analog Digital Converter is a high linearity 10-bit 2.2 Gsps version that offers significant improvements in performance while retaining the same functions and I/O interface as the TS83102G0B 10-bit 2 Gsps Analog Digital Converter. The SNR [Signal to Noise Ratio] shows a 10 dB improvement, leading to an ENOB [Effective Number Of bits] of 8 bits at 1.7 Gsps and 7.7 bits at 2.2 Gsps in Nyquist conditions. Furthermore, the FFT response throughout the 1st and 2nd Nyquist zones is now very clean and stable, allowing new possibility for corrections with Look-Up Tables. The improved performance and pin-to-pin compatibility (footprint/functions/electrical I/Os) with the TS83102G0B Analog Digital Converter give designers the ability to rapidly upgrade their existing boards or to design new systems with enhanced performance, without any thermal issue since the AT84AS008GL dissipate 10% less power than the TS83102G0BGL.

    This state-of-the-art 10-bit 2 Gsps converter offers an unprecedented bandwidth of 3.3 GHz and excellent band flatness, allowing to directly digitize very high IF signals (2nd and 3rd Nyquist zones) with high linearity : the SFDR remains in the -55 dBFS range at 2 Gsps / 2 GHz input frequency. Along with ATMEL TS81102G0 Demultiplexer it is the perfect solution for upgrading radars, wide-band receivers or high-end instrumentation systems.

    TS83102G0BMGS This latest A/D converter is a thermally enhanced, pin-to-pin compatible version of the high-speed TS83102G0B Analog Digital Converter and is designed for demanding environments such as military and extreme industrial applications. Its performance and form-fit function are identical to the TS83102G0B Analog Digital Converter (with temperature ranges up to Tc>-20癈; Tj<110癈) but is guaranteed for operation over a larger temperature range (Tc>-40癈; Tj<125癈) giving system designers the ability to design to higher temperatures while avoiding use of external ventilation or heat sinks. The TS83102G0BMGS comes in a 152-pin ceramic CI-CGA (Column Interposer-Ceramic Grid Array) package that is pin-to-pin compatible with the current COTS 10-bit 2 Gsps Analog Digital Converter and features an enlarged heat spreader for improved thermal cooling of the device. System designers can easily upgrade current designs using the TS83102G0B Analog Digital Converter to harsher-environment applications.

Providing a footprint identical to that of the TS81102G0 10-bit 2 Gsps DMUX and similar pin placements, it allows designers to quickly upgrade existing designs to new low power performance. Featuring a low power (2.6W) and LVDS-compatible fully differential architecture, this DMUX operates over a wide frequency range (DC to 2.2 Gsps) and temperature ranges of ?0?to 85癈. (industrial grade) and is housed in an EBGA 240 pin package.
